Course Description
This course introduces sport psychology to students, as an academic discipline which seeks to understand human behaviour in sports and recreational activity. Sports Psychology offers explanation to many of the problems experienced in the various activities in individual and team sports as well as in recreational activities.
Teams as well as individual sports person have recognized the need and the importance of sports psychology to enhance their performance or to eliminate the hindrance, to maximize their ability. Sports Psychology links the various aspects of mainstream psychological challenges to those experienced in sports; these includes areas such as motivation, fear, anxiety and aggression.
