Hi my name is Damar Ellis, a graduate of the Mico University College, from the department of Physical Education. As a youth growing up, teaching has always been my passion. On graduating from high school I was tasked with choosing a suitable subject area to attain my dream of being an educator.
I had in mind, Physical Education and another subject area as I tried to make a decision. Driven by my love for sports, and the myriads of benefits I had seen in the sport industry, I chose to do Physical Education. Another concern was to find a suitable college of choice. However, it was not until a friend informed me about the Physical Education programme at the Mico University College that led me to sign up immediately and today I have absolutely no regrets.
My journey at Mico was no easy feat as I was financially strained and had to seek student loan for fiscal assistance. However, while growing in the Physical Education Department I was granted Volleyball Sports Scholarship, playing for the institution. An achievement I am very proud of today.
Thanks to the excellent Cadre of professional lecturers and quality programs designed for the Physical Education department. Today I am a proud “miconian” working in the Education system as Physical Education teacher changing lives.
